RIVERSIDE RESORT

This small, picturesque resort is located on the Mopan River, just before it joins with the Macal River to become the main Belize River that transverses the country of Belize. Bullet Tree Falls Village is a friendly, peaceful village about 4 miles from San Ignacio, the main inland tourist destination in Belize. The resort is situated on approximately 4.6 acres of land on the outskirts of the village, with about 500 yards of frontage on river.

One main, wooden, 2 storey building hosts the restaurant and bar for tourists. It also has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, laundry and office for the staff.

There are 4 cabanas and 2 tree houses for use as guest accommodation. One cabana has a private bath while other buildings contain bathrooms. The cabanas and tree houses are delicately hidden within the surrounding flora and the whole domestic area is shady and peaceful - a bird-watcher's paradise. There is a nice view of the river from the restaurant/bar.

This resort is only a cheap taxi ride from San Ignacio, which is the popular destination for many tourists because of the Maya ruins, rivers, beautiful jungle and plants and an amazing collection of bird and wild life. It also, of course, boasts a wonderful, friendly people who are keen to welcome and accept you as one of their own.

This small but well constructed resort has good potential for somebody who wants to branch into the increasing tourist market of Belize.
